Now all Toby needs is to decipher Frank’s confused thoughts in order to find out the truth about his past and his mother.

In this one-hour drama, Toby Logan (Craig Olejnik, The Runaway) is a 24-year-old paramedic living with a secret: he can read people’s minds. This telepathic procedural takes viewers into the heart of a tortured hero who struggles to solve crimes with his unique gift. Week-to-week, The Listener balances high-stakes drama with irreverent humor and sends Toby on an intellectual and emotional adventure. Ennis Esmer (The Path to 9/11) also stars.

Jesse James takes on the role of a modern-day daredevil in “Jesse James Is A Dead Man” a new, original weekly series on Spike TV premiering in February 2009, it was announced today by Sharon Levy, senior vice president of original series for Spike TV. “Our goal was to create a new and distinctive series for Jesse that is unlike anything else on television,” said Levy.

“In this series, viewers will get to experience one of the most fearless guys on the planet in an entirely new way, taking on death-defying physical challenges each week.” Each episode will follow James as he readies himself for a different death-defying challenge. Preparing for the risky challenge can often be as dangerous as the challenge itself as he endures a battery of tests to prepare.

With CGI effects, viewers get a taste of the enormity of the stunt, revealing the physiological stress James’ body will endure. Some of the dangerous challenges he’ll be facing include the harrowing, grueling and lawless off-road race, the Baja 500, and hitting over 200 mph on a Nitro bike supercharged by ultra-combustible nitro-methane

Let me guess: Right now, you are saying, “What? The Magic in the Finals? That would mean they beat the Cavaliers!”

Yeah, I know, but I like the way Orlando is playing right now, whereas I do not like the way the Cavs are sitting on their butts, doing God-knows-what. It’s anything but basketball.

Cleveland is going to come out cocky, overconfident, and are going to get a crash-course in what Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic can do. There is no way the Cavs won’t come out too sure of themselves; they have King James and the league’s best record.

But will their regular-season mark mean anything? Chicago, Philadelphia, and Detroit did not even have winning seasons, and they were playoff teams. There was a dramatic drop-off from the top three teams in the Eastern Conference (in order, Cleveland, Boston, and Orlando) to the No. 4 seed (Atlanta Hawks).

The Cleveland Cavaliers need to buckle their seat-belts; they are going to have a long 14-day, seven-game ride against the Magic.

And as for the Western Conference? Will it be any surprise when the Lakers win the conference? Kind of.

Let me be the first one to tell you, if the Lakers play the Nuggets like they did Houston, Carmelo Anthony & Co. will have a field day against L.A.

But I believe that Phil Jackson, Kobe Bryant, and Pau Gasol will help the Lakers settle down, take a deep breath, and beat Denver in five. They’ll then have plenty of time to prepare and practice for Dwight Howard and the Magic.
