Barack Obama Indonesia postponed until mid-June 2010



U.S. President’s Barack Obama visit to Indonesia postponed until mid-June 2010. With this new schedule, the possibility of his wife and children will come as Obama’s original plan. Plan for bringing this family revealed the White House spokesman Robert Gibbs. He answered reporters’ questions whether the rescheduling, Obama’s family could be included.
“Obviously, the plan (with family) will be made by scheduling the month we saw in June,” Gibbs said during a press conference as reported by the official website of the White House, Friday (3/19/2010).


Gibbs returned to explain how Obama disappointed that canceled visit to Indonesia. Indonesia has a number of important roles in the eyes of the U.S., so that Uncle Sam should have a good relationship with Indonesia.

“This is a democracy that continues to grow, Muslim country in the world and the most important country in the fight against terrorism,” said Gibbs.

Gibbs also said Obama wants to talk to the public such as Indonesia had done in Cairo, Egypt. Therefore, the visit in June is expected to achieve all it wants.

“We’ll have a chance to visit Indonesia and Australia in June next,” added Gibbs
