Red State Movie Review

Red State Movie will be released on 19 October 2011 (USA). RED STATE is a shocking new kind of horror film that aggressively confronts higher powers and extreme doctrines with a vengeance. This movie is about  a group of teens receive an online invitation for sex, though they soon encounter fundamentalists with a much more sinister agenda. Set in Middle America. Three horny high-school boys who come across an online ad from an older woman looking for a gang bang. Boys being boys, they hit the road to satisfy their libidinal urges. But what begins as a fantasy takes a dark turn as they come face-to-face with a terrifying “holy” force with a fatal agenda. The boys are drugged and brought to a fundamental church called the Five Points ran by Pastor Abin Cooper (Michael Parks). Much like Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church, which gets name dropped in the film, Cooper preaches that homosexuals are the devil and the world does everything it can to encourage their power. The boys who’ve been captured will be punished for the sins of the world and we’re lead to believe they aren’t the first, nor last.
