Power of Tag and Ping

1 Comment | This entry was posted on Jan 03 2009

We talk about a huge social phenomenon that is hitting the internet as we speak- and how  you can take advantage of it to generate high quality backlinks to your sites, promote your web presence, and reach more customers beyond your existing network. This new emerging trend, called “Social Bookmarking” is taking the internet by storm.  Just like how blogs used to be the hottest trend a year or two ago, Social Bookmarking is quickly becoming one of the biggest concepts ever introduced to the internet

The “Tag And Ping” method you are about to discover is born out of this new social trend. If you are like me – trying every possible way to get links to your websites – you are frustrated with all of the “quick fix” methods for generating backlinks (that work for awhile and then quickly cease work)

You might even be frustrated that Blog And Ping is no longer as  effective as it used to be in getting your sites into the search engines. Tag And Ping can be used to promote virtually any type of website - including websites monetized with Google Adsense, your own products or even other people’s products. It can help get your websites spidered and indexed in the search engines. Towards the end of 2004 and early 2005, a huge phenomenon hit the internet marketing world.  It was called “Blog And Ping” (aka. Blog & Ping, B&P, Blogging & Pinging).

Blog And Ping involved 2 simple steps:

  1. “Blogging” - posting content to a blog; and
  2. “Pinging” - sending signals to notify blog & RSS directories

Since blogs and RSS (Really Simple Syndication) was extremely “hot” at that time, search engine spiders were on a rampage to index blogs, RSS directories and blog directories.  This made Blog And Ping even more effective.

Today, the best method for getting the search engines to spider, index, and rank your websites, is still having high quality inbound links pointing to your sites. And not just high quality inbound links… but high quality inbound links from authority sites.

What is “Tag And Ping”? Similar to “Blog And Ping” - which involves “Blogging” and then “Pinging” - Tag And Ping involves “Tagging” and “Pinging”.

Basically, it’s a 2 step-process:

  1. You create tags on your blogs or on social bookmarking services.
  2. You ping or update various social bookmarking services to visit, index those tags and include links back to your sites.  (Some services don’t require this.)

The 2 Types of Tags You Can Create
There are literally hundreds of uses of tags out there, but for the purposes of this book (“Tag And Ping”), there are 2 major types of tags that you can create:

  1. Tags You Create On Your Own Blogs  and
  2. Tags You Create On Your “Authority Site Network” On Various  Social Bookmarking Services

Both methods of Tagging And Pinging are equally powerful, and I suggest that you do both for maximum effectiveness

Here’s SEO idea 2008

- When you’ve been improving how you rank with Google for about a year, it’s time to take stock and more importantly look towards the new year and the business challenges it will bring. However your performance has been, type in your most treasured keyword, find the first reference to your site and print off the page- this is your baseline. For the next twelve months you either need to maintain that position or improve on it. Print out the page, stick it up on the wall and spend each and every day employing these techniques and rising up the rankings.

- if you are yet to employ H tags, then reassess your web pages and assign them to the pertinent points on each page. If you are already using H tags, check that they are being utilised correctly. Are they relevant? Do they add to the site? Will they help or hinder the site being ranked? if there are any more than six on a page, ditch the overkill.

Busby SEO Test Support AIDS campaign

On the December 1st ago the blogcatalog, National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of HIV/AIDS Policy’s AIDS.gov assigned an events that called Bloggers Unite For World AIDS Day. in this event all of the blogger involved by blogcatalog as a mission to prevent and spread of this pandemic through blogging. for this moment Busby SEO Test blog also support this action by adding a badges for world AIDS day. if we back in In 1983 and 1984 scientists established that HIV (the human immunodefciency virus) causes AIDS, which had recently begun cropping up in gay men in California and New York. The discovery quickly led to predictions that a preventive vaccine would soon be on tap. maybe you have a question can HIV be cured? based on Scientific American Magazine, november edition 2008 Mario Stevenson said that:

” In contrast to the failed attempts at developing a vaccine against HIV, efforts to provide drug therapies stand as a great success. More than 25 agents have been approved thus far, and  the right combinations can suppress replication of the virus, often keeping blood levels so low as to be undetectable by standard  tests. These powerful drug cocktails, collectively termed highly active antiretroviral therapy, or HAART, have prolonged life and health in countless infected individuals. Yet vexingly, today’s treatments cannot actually cure the infection. If for any reason therapy is inter rupted,  the virus rapidly rebounds.”

All right guys its time now to give your awareness, care, about this virus. don’t expel that person who infected by HIV but together we destroy the Virus!

The Busby SEO site map and Google

0 Comments | This entry was posted on Dec 04 2008

Many webmasters argue that including a site map allows users to bypass their well thought out navigation paths and that, therefore, users aren’t subjected to the full, all-powerfull magic of the site. Absolute rubbish. If your visitor cannot find, in a very limited amount of time, what it is they want, then they are going to leave-and probably not come back. If the Googlebot can’t find a way through your website then it’s not going to hang around too long either, and Google are certainly not going to contact you with a follow-up courtesy call just to check everything’s fine. You’ve had your chance.

By offering a site map, yes, some users might miss out on great offers, witty copy and stunning images, but they do get to where they wanted to go. They might still partake in your promotions and appreciate your huge range, just not right now. Be patient. Like wise, if the Googlebot can index your entire site, which it can do easily through a site map, then it is going to help you rank higher on many more keyword searches especially for “Busby SEO Test” maybe :). And that’s what you want. Isn’t it? Google can’t follow your JavaScript navigation. Employing a site map ensures there’s an obvious link to every page and the Googlebot will take the easy route if a site map is offered. If your site map is accurate Google will index every page presented.
